We stayed at the Evason Resort, a very nice hotel. We went elephant and ATV riding at the Bukit Safari, went to see the Fantasea, and visit Koh Khai. Besides, we also went to Banyan Tree Spa for a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi (advanced booking required). After the treatment, we went to Baan Rim Pa for a great dinner (special thanks to the Banyan Tree staff who helped us choose a restaurant and make the reservation). Among other things, we had Fried Lobster with soy bean sauce (unexpectedly good), Fried King Prawns with garlic sauce and Stir Fried Noodles. After the dinner, we bought their official Cookbook before leaving.
The Evason Resort lies on the far South East side of Phuket, far away from everything other than the Sea Shell Museum, which is just across the road. As soon as you arrive, you will be attracted by its stylist entrance and cozy lobby. To top it off, the staff members were warm and helpful. The Six Senses Spa of Evason is very famous. We forgot to make a reservation before the trip, and as a result, we failed to get a spa session here.
The hotel closed down on 24 May 2012.

FantaSea is a cultural theme park that won the Best Attraction Award of Thailand. We got on the minibus, and rode more than a full hour to get there. It is just next to Laguna, and therefore far far away from our hotel. When we arrived, it was raining heavily. In a chaos, we had to locate the ticket brooth, to convert our voucher to admission tickets, and to wind through the huge Festival Village shopping paradise to find the Palace of the Elephants Theater. After the show, we dined at the Golden Kinnaree, a buffet restaurant with 4000 seats.
We subscribed via Golden Beach Tour to ride the Island Hopper to the Khai Island.

No visit to Phuket is complete without visiting Spas. The Island Herb Spa is a wonderful place for a massage
